Wilderness & Refuge
By: Martin James Hottel

Life has a tendency to carry us into places that are completely terrifying. It seems that at any moment, we can find ourselves trapped in the darkest areas of our lives. When we find ourselves suffering through trials and tribulations, we need something real. We don't need cliches. We don't need religion. We need a Savior. We need a relationship with that Savior. It is through such a relationship that we can find ourselves on a journey like none other, a journey that goes beyond selfish desires, sensationalism, and legalism. This journey of faith connects us with the One who is greater than all else.

My prayer is that this page will contribute graciously to the faith journey of every person who visits it. This page will not be made up of cliches or cheesy "church answers." This is not about religion. Rather, I hope to dive deeply into the hardest parts of life with the ultimate hope, prayer, and goal of offering a Word that can indeed help us draw closer in an intimate and living relationship with God.

I pray our journey together will allow us to walk through any kind of wilderness and be able to find our place of refuge in Christ. God bless!
